Below are some FAQ for the upcoming Fall season.

GBAA Baseball and Softball FAQs
1. Will you have a Fall season and will the fields be open?

Yes.  As you may have noticed the fields are currently under construction.  While this will certainly impact and limit our practice days, times and locations, we will still play games as planned.

2. Can my child play up/down outside of their assigned age group?

No.  We do not allow players to play outside their age group.

4.  What days are practice?

For Spring 2020, due to the ongoing construction, estimated completion date and limited field space, all days of the week may be utilized for practices

5. What days are games?

Games are typically Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday.

6. How many days a week will there be games or practices?

Usually about 1-2 times per week depending on the number of teams in each league.

The Rookie league only practices once per week and typically plays 1 game per week.

7. When are the evaluation dates, times and locations?

The evaluation date is posted.  Times for age groups and field numbers will be posted in July. The date is subject to change based on weather or field space due to construction.

8. How long is the season?

Games typically run through April or early May.

9. When will practices start?

Once coaches select their team, practices will start immediately. This is typically the second week in February.

10. What should I bring to evaluations?

Please bring your glove, helmet and bat. Keep in mind that peewee, tball and rookie ages require chinstraps and facemasks on batting helmets.

11. What bats are allowed for baseball?

No big barrel bats are allowed in the Rookie or Tball age groups.  Thus bats with a diameter of 2 5/8” or larger are not permitted.  Bats can be either a USA or USSSA( BPF 1.15) approved bat.  NOTE:  The Peewee division of baseball is allowed to use bats with a 2 5/8” barrel or smaller.

12. Do you offer refunds?

All refund requests are reviewed by a board member prior to issuing a refund.  Refunds are not issued once league drafts are complete.
